Phillip Withers is the director of the Melbourne based landscape architecture and horticulture studio with a respect for and celebration of nature. Phillip Withers has led the team to a series of Melbourne International Flower and Garden Shows, winning the city of Melbourne best in show in 2017. They have been invited to design gardens such as the Australian Garden Show, the Beijing landscape conference and the 10th China Flower Expo. Here they were awarded one of three master garden awards. With a background in art and sustainability, Phillip brings a rich understanding of key design principles while utilising practical solutions for energy efficiency and considering the garden as a system. Phillip's gardens feature both natural and curated architectural elements and a strong focus on divine and sensory plant selection. AB is a horticulturist, writer, and conservationist. She lives with her partner, Ray, in an environmental living zone where fauna and flora are protected. AB believes that gardens should be built as much for supporting wildlife as for our own enjoyment. She is the horticultural editor of Gardening Australia magazine, a host on Melbourne's 3CR Community Radio gardening program, and a regular presenter on ABC Sydney's gardening show with Simon Marnie. AB co-authored The Waterwise Australian Native Garden with Angus Stewart. AB's book, Habitat: A practical guide to creating a wildlife-friendly Australian garden, was Australia's bestselling gardening book for 2018.
