Alessandra Jerolleman is Senior Hazard Mitigation Planner at James Lee Witt Associates in New Orleans, Louisiana. She is currently assisting six New Jersey Counties with hazard mitigation project identification, as well as plan review. She is also serving as a senior planner for the Chatham County Hazard Mitigation Plan Update, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Hazard Mitigation Plan, and the Polk County Hazard Mitigation Plan Update. John J. Kiefer is Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of the Master of Public Administration Program at the University of New Orleans. He was Chair, Section on Crisis and Emergency Management, American Society for Public Administration, 2009-2010. He received the William Petak Award for best paper on disaster policy or emergency management presented at the annual American Society for Public Administration conference, 2009.
