Neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Huntington's, represent some of the most challenging and debilitating conditions affecting the aging population, with limited therapeutic options available. Recent advances in nanotechnology and natural product research open new avenues for intervention. The synergistic potential of engineered nanoparticles and bioactive secondary metabolites, such as flavonoids and terpenoids, crosses biological barriers and modulates oxidative stress and inflammation. This emerging interdisciplinary approach offers promising strategies for medical diagnosis, drug delivery, and disease modification in the fight against neurodegeneration. Nanoparticles Agents and Secondary Metabolites in Neurodegenerative Diseases explores two emerging therapeutic strategies in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. It examines the synergistic potential of nanoparticles and secondary metabolites. Covering topics such as neurodegenerative disease, metabolites, and nanoparticles, this book is an excellent resource for academicians, medical and healthcare professionals, engineers, and scientists.

Dr. Jawad Laadraoui is a professor of neurophysiology and neuroscience at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Sciences Ain Chock, Hassan II University of Casablanca, Morocco. His research focuses on neurodegenerative diseases and the effects of natural compounds on brain health, with particular emphasis on the interplay between neuroinflammation, seizure activity, and the therapeutic potential of natural compounds, aiming to develop innovative treatment strategies. Dr. Bilal El-Mansoury is a Professor at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Sciences, Chouaib Doukkali University. He served as a Postdoc Researcher in Neuroscience and Neurology at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, University of Medicine and Health Sciences. His work centers on understanding how glial cells dysfunction contributes to the pathophysiology of hepatic encephalopathy and various neurodegenerative disorders. Dr. El-Mansoury also investigated the role of miRNAs in CDKL5 deficiency disorder, with the aim of identifying novel therapeutic targets for this rare epileptic encephalopathy. In addition to his research, Dr. El-Mansoury is Editor of the Book .
