Series: How to Draw
"As a beginning artist everyone is faced with these questions....

""How do I make what I see look real or look like the picture I am copying?""

"" How do I draw it the way I see it?""

""Why do all my objects such as tables, and chairs, cups and saucers, look like they are going up in the air?""

""Why do all my pictures look flat and out of proportion when I first draw my piece.""

""Why does my realistic picture look like a cartoon?""

""What am I missing in my shading? I can't seem to get it to look 'touchable and believable!

"" Why does my colored piece look so unnatural and flat?""

In one simple word I will sum up what THE MAJOR issue all artists face....PERSPECTIVE...

Perspective is the cornerstone of any understanding of getting your masterpiece to look real, and believable because that word encompasses a whole passel of art techniques that you must know in order to master this skill. This book will help you understand perspective as if you are looking thru a CAMERA! And not in the traditional way it is usually explained.

BUT...it doesn't stop there, and this is where 'THE REST OF THE STORY"" is usually left off...THEORIES!

When I was teaching I noticed that there were certain problems that came up that confused the student even after they learned the basics.

The BASICS teach how and where to look at an object in the ""skeletal form"" of drawing.

This book is divided up in two segments...the first t 12 chapters will explain how to draw or the FRAMEWORK of art... this will be done in a fun and colorful way.

The first half consists of 8 chapters which are titled:

1. WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE

2. RULES

3. ""EL FLATO""

4.LEARNING THE RULES

5. THE MAGICAL ILLUSION OF PERSPECTIVE

6.. UNDERSTANDING VANISHING POINTS

7.. CAMERA VIEW

8. HORIZON LINE

Then the second half of the book will consist of 'THEORIES'.'

This is the finishing touches of how to put the ""Skin"" on the skeletal framework of the Att Basics...there will be 14 chapters. Rhey are:

1.THE PHYSICS OF LUMPY AND BUMPY THEORY

2. YOU ARE NOW A MICROBE THEORY

3. COFFEE CUP THEORY

4. THE SMILE AND FROWN THEORY

5. THE HAPPY ""Y' AND TIRED ""T"" THEORY

6. THE COIN THEORY

1.THE GLASS GHOST THEORY

8. THE SPIDER WEB THEORY

1.THE BUTTERFLY MORPHING THEORY

10. THE BUCKING BRONCO THEORY

11 .""WHY ARE YOU LOOKING AT YOUR THUMB?"" THEORY

12. SUMMARY

Several of my students have gone on to have very successful art careers, as well as being able to get into art colleges with a winning portfolio showing off their knowledge as an accomplished art MY CAREER AS A WRITER After 15 years of security work as a Correctional Officer, I finally have finished my art book, ""My Cat Can Draw Better Than I Can...WHY?"" which is an accumulation of all my special drawing techniques I've been teaching my students . My interests lay into historical fiction, and sci-fi. But this interest I want to incorporate now on the worldly events that have been prophetically told by Jesus, and all the other Bible Prophets and Apostles. I am currently working on a prophetic historical novel with a sci-fi bend to it called: ""Time Of Sorrows."" I am sporadically writing and illustrating my own children's books. One of my current projects is a series of 4 small musical books illustrated and written by me to help musically challenged people that love music but, have no idea what a note is and how they work. I have also started several books, which I am hoping to finish and publish. I have had a short history of writing comic book scripts. I have also been a Ghost writer for several clients for a few years. When I had the GRAPHIC CAT I had taught students, hopeful writers and comic book script writers how organize their thoughts, plots, character development, helped them navagate through the dizzing world of publishing, and teaching them how to find editors, and agents. AWARDS: I received the Edda McCormick scholarship for my art work in Clark College, and in 2005 was awarded first place for outstanding cartooning for C.O.W. (CARTOONIST OF Washington). I am a member of the National Association of Professional women, which profiles the country's most accomplished PROFESSIONAL WOMEN throughout the nation."
