Ken Marslew, an ordinary bloke, with a pass mark from the University of Life, describing his journey following the murder of his son, Michael. Ken's great strengths lie in his diverse background, life experience and a determination to create positive outcomes for all he works with.
It was a violent crime that thrust Ken Marslew into the public spotlight, when his son Michael was murdered. Ken, racked with grief and anger, became the public face on law-and-order issues. Ken turned his anger into something constructive, and what he has done to make our society a better place is truly inspirational. Every time I sit down and have a chat with him, come away a little smarter. We could all learn from Ken's inspirational story; it is one that needs to be told.
