“…discusses anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and pathology of body systems in relation to therapeutic massage…. The purpose is to provide massage therapists with the essential anatomical, biomechanical, and pathology relevant for the treatment of clients receiving therapeutic massage,… meets the objectives and provides a variety of opportunities to use and apply the information as part of a practice…. The book’s primary audience is massage therapists specializing in therapeutic massage,… [and] it will benefit students of massage but can also serve as a reference and review for experienced massage therapists…. includes four sections, each focusing on a major topic and is then divided into smaller sections which elaborate on the material…. Numerous illustrations and diagrams supplement the text…. The book is of great quality and is extremely useful for massage therapy students. It is also a great resource for experienced therapists.” ©Doody's Review Service, 2025, Amy Schreiner, DC, DICCP (Northwestern Health Sciences University)
