Elvettin Akman graduated from Suleyman Demirel University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Department of Public Administration in 2007 and completed his Master's degree in Sakarya University Social Sciences Institute Department of Public Administration in 2009. He received his PhD in Suleyman Demirel University Institute of Social Sciences Department of Public Administration in 2015. Akman has been working as a faculty member since 2010, received the title of professor in 2025.
