A practical framework for designing agile, effective, and responsive public administration in a world of complexity.

Public administration must evolve to meet new challenges with systemic and adaptable solutions in this era of increasing complexity and interdependence. Model IDHEAP: Understanding and Designing Public Administration presents a comprehensive framework developed by the Graduate Institute of Public Administration to analyze and improve public organizations. Combining theory with real-world application, the IDHEAP model offers a dynamic approach to governance, integrating essential components such as law, values, human resource management, and digital transformation.

The authors masterfully depict how public administration operates, while also suggesting practical strategies for designing and refining government institutions to better serve society. Through real-world examples and expert insights, this book demonstrates how the model can be applied to policymaking to ensure more efficient and responsive governance. Essential reading for public sector professionals and policymakers, Model IDHEAP is a vital tool for those seeking to understand and shape the future of public administration.
