Marcos Roberto de Oliveira earned his bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in 2005, followed by a Master's and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the same institution. Dr. Marcos Roberto de Oliveira's research during this period focused on the toxic effects of vitamin A on mitochondria. Currently, Dr. Marcos Roberto de Oliveira is a professor at UFRGS. His current research focuses on the mechanism of action by which natural molecules promote mitochondrial protection in human and animal cells.
