Dr. Zengqing Sun has an interdisciplinary background and received his bachelor, master and Ph.D. in mineral processing (Central South University, China), environmental engineering (Nanjing University, China), and civil engineering (RWTH Aachen University, Germany), respectively. He was selected as the Hundred Talents Program (Hunan Provincial) scholar in 2020 and has been working at Central South University as an associate professor at the School of Minerals Processing and Bioengineering since then. He has been engaged in alkali-activated materials since 2011, focusing on the reaction mechanism and environmental compatibility, and has authored and co-authored more than 40 peer-reviewed papers and one book.
