Mighty Mega Pets

My five-year-old and I absolutely adored this book. It was packed with laugh out loud moments and so many “what’s going to happen next?” surprises. The story was fantastic, and the illustrations were stunning, really bringing everything to life. We had planned to read one chapter a night as our bedtime story, but my son didn’t want to put it down, so we ended up reading it all in one sitting! Gary tells the tale of normal everyday pets becoming heroes, and villains, in this comedy novel whilst also gently and effortlessly bringing into the mix themes of friendships, betrayal and forgiveness too. An action packed story perfect for young readers, and older readers alike! I read this with my 8 year old, and is easily rated Five stars from us.
