Meditation for Medics, Stopping the Noise is a book for doctors... and nurses, paramedics, medical students and other health care providers who face relentless pressure, long shifts, and regular exposure to trauma and grief. The constant noise - alarms, demands, responsibility - doesn't just exhaust the body, it can fray the mind and spirit.

Mindfulness is a way of enhancing our ability to stay the course in our chosen careers, to reduce the impact of stress, and to build emotional resilience.

Meditation for Medics, Stopping the Noise takes you on a practical journey from chaos to calm, showing how to build unshakeable mindfulness step by step.

Written by Emergency Physician Dr Andrew Dean, this book offers medics a toolkit of mindfulness and meditation practices designed for high-stress medical environments.

Inside, you'll discover how to:

- Develop resilience in the face of trauma, grief, and exhaustion

- Reduce stress and prevent burnout with strategies tailored to healthcare professionals

- Train your mind to switch off the ""noise"" of constant pressure and find calm in minutes

- Reconnect with purpose and compassion in your work, even during the most demanding shifts

Grounded in both medical understanding and mindfulness practice, this book speaks directly to those who give everything to save others, but often forget to save space for themselves.

Reviews for Meditation For Medics: A Simple Guide to Unshakeable Mindfulness by a Busy ER Doctor

Mindfulness has such a huge role to play amongst medical staff. We were lucky enough to bring Andrew to Darwin virtually for a JMO teaching session, which was amazing. Not only was mindfulness and its importance broken down as it applies to doctors, we also had the opportunity to put it into practice. I encourage all doctors who may be sceptical or haven't tried it to read this book and get in touch with Andrew. Dr Adam Conroy Emergency Division, Royal Darwin Palmerston Hospital
