Dr. Oluwatoyin Ogunsanya MBBS (Ibadan), MRCOG, LLB (Hons) is a medical-legal professional with a rare dual perspective as both doctor and lawyer.He trained in medicine at the University of Ibadan and practiced as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at King Fahd Specialist Hospital, Saudi Arabia. He worked in the NHS for more than 40 years, becoming Senior Partner at the Robert Frew Medical Centre, Essex, for more than 15 years, where he combined clinical leadership with frontline general practice, and was a Board member of the Basildon and Brentwood Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Chair of the South Essex Managed Consortium group of practices of the CCG.Alongside his medical career, Dr Ogunsanya studied law, obtaining his LLB (Hons), and qualified as a Solicitor Advocate. He is a Partner at Taylor Wood Solicitors in London, specialising in medical partnership law, civil litigation, regulatory and disciplinary law, and representing doctors before the General Medical Council and Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service.Dr Ogunsanya's work stands at the intersection of patient safety, professional accountability, and fairness.
