Sanjeev Sanghi obtained his bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He continued his education further at Cornell University and The Levich Institute of City University of New York from where he obtained his MS and PhD respectively. He is now Professor in the Applied Mechanics Department at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He joined the department in 1992 and since then has been teaching courses in Engineering Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He has been the Head of Educational Technology and Service Centre, IIT Delhi and was Visiting Professor at The University of Sussex, UK in 20072008. At Cornell University, he won the Distinguished Teaching Assistant Award in 1988. In 2002, he was given the Distinguished Teacher Award by the C V Kapoor Foundation. He has published papers in leading journals like Jour-nal of Fluid Mechanics, Journal of Computational Physics, Physics of Fluids, Chaos, AIAA Journal, ASME Journal of Heat Transfer, Journal of Sound and Vibration, Computers and Structures and Computers and Fluids.
