Nicole Marks has always had an undeniable love for animals from her earliest years. When most kids were making friendships, Nicole was rescuing something that needed saving or making friends with some member of the animal kingdom, much to her family's dissatisfaction. From the frostbitten field mouse (that may have escaped the shoe box INSIDE the house), to the rehabbed chicken that took up residence in the bathtub, or the lame duck with the broken leg that needed a cast, surely there was a connection between Nicole and the animals. Ligia Camolesi is a Brazilian illustrator and graphic designer with over twenty books published with her artwork. She has collaborated with authors and publishers from around the world, creating illustrations, layouts, and covers for both children's and adult books. Ligia has also worked on projects for advertising and branding. She is the author of the picture book Hugo, the Shy Hedgehog, published by Mixirica.Since childhood, Ligia has been passionate about drawing and stories. One of her favorite pastimes back then was making her own handmade books. She believes there's no greater joy than bringing to life something that once only existed in the imagination.
