Reviews for Matthew: Seeking the Kingdom and Pursuing Righteousness: A Fifty-Day Devotional

"""Our churches desperately need to move beyond the spiritual infancy of merely wading in the shallows and begin to plunge with determined dedication into spiritual ocean depths. Spiritual formation has emerged as a great need of the hour, but biblically grounded, Christ-focused spiritual formation is paramount. Graham Joseph Hill has expertly crafted such a resource to assist in meeting this great need. May it be warmly embraced and bear much fruit."" --Paul Quicke, lead pastor, Morley Baptist Church ""I always walked into Graham Joseph Hill's seminary classes with a heart full of expectation. Now, opening his books evokes that same excitement. This new devotion is a deep river of spiritual insight. Dive in and be refreshed."" --Tim Kay, senior pastor, Thornleigh Community Baptist Church ""It is with great joy that I offer my wholehearted endorsement for this daily devotional. Graham Joseph Hill's deeply insightful reflections take the profound truths of Scripture and present them in a wonderfully helpful, accessible form. This inspiring devotional work is a blessing, and I look forward to the subsequent volumes."" --Nick Scott, senior pastor, Mount Pleasant Baptist Church ""This devotional is for you if you want a concise, thoughtful engagement with the Bible. Graham Joseph Hill's deep theological reflections challenge the reader to consider how this book of the Bible impacts us today. I have found this to be an excellent yet challenging companion in my daily reflection time."" --Sally Pim, intercultural team member, Mozambique, Baptist Mission Australia ""Graham Joseph Hill's book of devotionals is a refreshing well of rediscovery into the Bible. No topic is overlooked here; from the depth of sin to the absurdity of God's grace freely given, serious treatment has been given to the overarching themes of the Christian faith. This is a stellar contribution to what will no doubt be a series of devotionals that will impact a generation of believers with the awe, hope, and promise of God and his word."" --Ed Divine, team leader, Quinns Baptist Church ""In a world of potential distractions, Graham Joseph Hill skillfully and sensitively encourages us to draw near to God so that we too might hear the heartbeat of the living God speaking through Scripture in the context of God's redemptive story. Hill's devotions are profoundly beautiful to read, deeply encouraging, and sufficiently challenging in application and as a teaching resource for a broad spectrum of people, whether they be an inquirer or a seasoned disciple."" --Ann Clews, follower of Jesus Christ"
