There are some excellent things in these volumes ... Geoff Wallis and Mike Bussell give a very good short summary of the technological developments of iron and steel, which I have not seen bettered elsewhere. ( Context, September 2008) It is well illustrated in colour, which is an achievement, given that many publishers are reluctant to do this. It is available from Internet booksellers at under 50, which represents good value for money for a specialist book.
