Maria James is an independent religious education consultant. She was previously Principal Lecturer in the School of Education, Theology and Leadership at St Mary's University, UK. Julian Stern is Professor of Education and Religion at Bishop Grosseteste University, UK. He is General Secretary of ISREV - the International Seminar on Religious Education and Values - an association of religious education scholars from more than 34 countries, and Editor of the British Journal of Religious Education.
