Maor's Christmas Tale is a story about the birth of Jesus through the eyes of an old mouse who lives in the Bethlehem stable where Mary and Joseph find shelter just before the Christ child is born. Children will love Maor and his other stablemates who include a nervous dove called Mendel, a stentorian goose called Gettel, and a cow named Rebecca, whose feed trough makes a serviceable crib. In this retelling of the Nativity, Maor's Christmas Tale is a wonderful story about a simple, peaceful time when a child reminded us of love, life, and the importance of both.

In the yesteryears, a long time ago, there lived a mouse by the name of Maor. He lived the simple life in a stable just outside the small town of Bethlehem. Although safe and secure within, Maor often heard the steady rhythm of heavy footsteps echoing outside his humble home. It was a time of uncertainty when the land was ruled by an iron fist clenched round a Roman sword.

Handed down from generation to generation was one story that softly spoke of a liberator who would come to deliver them. This is Maor's story of a time when a child was born in a stable bringing hope to all those who walked in darkness.

It came to be known as Christmas.
