"Dimitrios Dimitriou’s background includes a doctorate in econometric modelling for demand forecasting in transportation, MSc in Airports Planning and Management, MSc in Infrastructures Environmental Management, and diploma (equivalent to 4-year BA and 1-year MSc) in Civil Engineering (Transportation planning). His 25 years’ professional experience shared on 3 pillars of activities: education, research, and executive management in transportation sector. His specialisation deals with large investment appraisal, project financing, project management, transport and supply chain economics, management performance, decision making, project development, strategic management, sustainable development, and transportation planning. He participates in 21 large research projects providing papers and presentations in distinguished international events and peer review referred journals. He’s occupied executive positions in transport enterprises and organizations while delivering dedicated studies in large transportation projects. In 2018 he was awarded the Professional Achievement Award in Greece by the British Council for the Study UK Alumni awards. Maria Sartzetaki’s educational qualifications include a PhD in transport enterprises management from the Deptartment of Economics, Democritus University of Thrace (DUTh); MSc in airports economic impact assessment from Cranfield University; MSc in transport systems management from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki; and diploma (equivalent to 4-year BA and 1-year MSc) in Engineering from DUTh. She is Assistant Professor of Management in the Deptartment of Economics, Democritus University of Thrace. Her professional track record includes executive advisory positions in large transport enterprises and organizations, and subject matter expertise in fields of business development, management, and economics. Her research contributions include publications in peer-reviewed journals, international peer-review conferences, and international and national congresses and workshops. She has participated in a variety of research projects as a member of universities' research units. In 2019 she was the winner of the professional achievement of the ""Study UK Alumni Award"" awarded by the British Council. Aristi Karagkouni’s educational background includes a PhD in Sustainable Development and Management of Infrastructure from Democritus University of Thrace, Department of Economics; MSc in Environmental Management for Business from Cranfield University (UK); and diploma (equivalent to 4-year BA and 1-year MSc) in Civil Engineering (Transportation planning). She is currently a Post Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Economics (DUTh), in the research field of Sustainable Development and Management of Infrastructure.
