Life is full of difficulties; it's an undeniable fact. I, too, have faced many hardships, and in my deepest, darkest hours, the Qur'an became the rope I held onto in the darkness. As I studied the Qur'an in depth, the more I read, the more I wanted to continue. I discovered passages that were not only beautiful and evocative but also profoundly relevant, helping me put life into perspective. I began to think of these passages as gems, and I found many of them as I journeyed through the Qur'an.

As my mind cleared, I realized I didn't want to keep these gems to myself: I wanted to share them with the world. I knew I wasn't the only person facing hardships, and something within me felt compelled to offer others the perspectives and lessons I had drawn from the Qur'an during my darkest days.

What you hold in your hands now is my tafsir of Surat Taha, interwoven with a collection of Qur'anic gems and the life lessons I derived from them. I pray that this book will serve as a light and a guide for anyone experiencing darkness, offering spiritual revival and a renewed perspective on life.

Jamile Charkie lived in Saudi Arabia for two years, and when she came back to Canada, she brought some of that essence with her. She began volunteering at the AlRashid Mosque and was part of the Dawa (Outreach) Committee and joined the AlRashid Youth Club as well. During this time, Jamile pursued her love of Qur'an and began to study Qur'an, eventually giving ladies' halaqas at the AlRashid Mosque and writing this tafsir book that would enlighten people.
