Lottie Saves the Turtles is an action packed illustrated children's chapter book. Heather B. Moon weaves fantasy together with an important environmental message to make this story come alive for young readers. Ideal for children ages 7-12 years. 'Heather B. Moon has written a very sweet and compelling story about some important issues.' Rachel Mann (Publishing Director Roald Dahl HQ). Lottie Lovall answers her phone with trembling fingers. It's an urgent message from her friend Tristan from the sunny Caribbean island of Wadadidili. 'We have a gigantic problem. The turtle population is in serious decline.' Lottie's assistance is required right now! An incredible adventure is about to begin. Beyond the bubble and warmth of The Hotel Wadadidili Resort lies the mysterious Turtle Island. No one goes there, EVER! Doomy warnings from Granny Marley are ignored. Lottie has no choice! When her young brother, Jack and his friend Charley are whooshed out to sea on a plastic sea-tractor Lottie snatches a jet-ski and whisks across the bay to the mysterious Turtle Island. But what is really happening on Turtle Island? Turtle Island is dangerous! It's spooky! It's hairy-scary! Lottie needs to keep her cool. She has to find the boys. Then she meets Papa Zakarus, a weird beast-man. He tells her the whole truth about the island's inhabitants and hands her The Sacred Pendant for guidance. During her mission Lottie triggers her detective skills. She discovers a horrid link between the declining turtle population and evil voodoo magic. Lottie Saves the Turtles is an electrifying adventure story with a serious message of caring for our planet. Fantasy meets real environmental issues to make this book an exciting read for young readers.

Reviews for Lottie Saves the Turtles: Lottie Lovall International Investigator

'Heather B. Moon has written a very sweet and compelling story about some important issues.' Rachel Mann (Publishing Director Roald Dahl HQ). Amazon UK Praise for Lottie Saves the TurtlesThis is the 3rd book in the series that I have bought for my 8-year-old granddaughter. She loved the other Lottie books and I am sure she will love this one also. My granddaughter enjoyed the other Tillie books so much that she read them because she wanted too not because she had to for school. Maybe schools could include this book along with the others in the series in their school reading times to get the children to enjoy reading. 5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended. My children loved this book, so much so they didn't want me to stop reading it to them! They particularly liked the fantasy element to this one of the trilogy. The book also delivered an important message and now our children are very keen to do what they can to help our environment. 5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent story and great illustrations! My little girl and I love all the books in this series, had a read on ebooks but the actual copies are much better as we get to look at all the illustrations too and they arrived just in time to keep us occupied and cheer us up while we've been poorly! 5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect, magical children's story - a must read. It's very easy to get lost in this enchanting and well written story. the illustrations are as fantastic as the narrative. Heather B Moon is one to watch. Just brilliant- thank you. 5.0 out of 5 stars Beautifully written! Loved reading this story with my daughter. Highly recommended! 5.0 out of 5 stars Inspiring magical adventure This is a very good middle-grade book with a strong conservation message. It has humour, adventure, an exotic location and fun family times. And voodoo - let's not forget the voodoo. There is both good and bad voodoo magic, though fantasy fans will have to be patient as it takes a while to show up. Greed and cruelty threaten the turtles of the islands, but Lottie comes through and does indeed save them. But as for the carelessness that also threatens them and other sea creatures - well, we all have to do our part to stop that, and this book should inspire children to help. 5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous 3rd part of the Lottie Saves Trilogy. Another fabulous book from the Lottie saves.... collection. If you've not read them all download the trilogy now you won't be disappointed. Fab storyline and educating and making us aware of what is happening to our marine life.
