Schmitt has a deep passion for horology and has been writing about watches for more than 20 years, particularly for the prestigious Swiss business magazine Bilanz, where he has been deputy editor-in chief. Prior to his work there, Schmitt was the editor-in-chief of the Swiss Automobil-Revue, Europe's oldest automotive magazine. Additionally, he worked as the deputy editor-in-chief for the Swiss news magazine Facts.
