This is ethnographic fiction for those curious about how animals are used for a variety of different tasks around the world. Ilana Gershon is a professor of anthropology at Indiana University. She is the author of A World of Work, Down and Out in the New Economy, No Family is an Island, and The Breakup 2.0. Natalie Porter is an assistant professor in the department of anthropology at the University of Notre Dame.
