Gail Cawley Showalter raised three children as a single mother for sixteen years before she remarried, developing a passion for encouraging single mothers through offering practical advice and sharing personal stories. In 2007, Gail founded SMORE for Women, a nonprofit that provides support for single moms earning a degree that leads to employment. She is also a certified professional coach. Gail is a writer who has contributed articles to magazines including Single Parent Family and The Beaumont Enterprise. For over ten years, she also appeared on her local Christian radio station KLBT 88.1 FM with her “Bites of Soul Food for Single Moms” segment. She has spoken at various educational and Christian conferences across the US and Canada. Gail resides in Nederland, Texas.
