"Learning Korean for children has never been more fun!

Following on from the success of the wildly popular The Fabulous Lost and Found and the little Korean mouse, bestselling author, and writer on the Emmy Winning Tales of Peter Rabbit, Mark Pallis returns to make learning Korean for kids and children even more fun!

""Lingo Dingo loves to help. Anyone. Anytime. Anyhow...."" In this heartwarming story, Lingo helps a friend make a special cake. There's just one problem. The Chef only speaks Korean.... What could go wrong!?!

This heartwarming English Korean kids book:

Blends an English language story with over 50 Korean words and phrases so that children learn Korean without realising;

Builds a child's confidence in engaging with a new language;

Cements the foundation of a lifelong love of the Korean language.

And now with the follow up bilingual Korean English story, Lingo Dingo and the Korean Chef, you can learn another 50 Korean words and phrases!

This book uses the unique Story Powered Language Learning method work to help children learn Korean without realising it.

Unlike other Korean English books for children, or traditional bilingual Korean English childrens books (or bilingual Korean English kids books), this Korean language learning book for kids is different. We take a fun character, Lingo Dingo, who kids will love, and then we put her in a tight squeeze, where she needs to figure out the meaning of the Korean words and phrases in the story in order to help save the day. Kids will be so busy laughing that they don't realise they're learning.

Message from the Author

I am passionate about learning languages. There is something special about that sense of connection you get when you talk to another person in their mother tongue. The expression 'they really spoke my language' really captures that magic feeling. So unlike other Korean childrens books, this book makes Korean for kids fun. I really wanted to focus on words and expressions that would make people smile. Imagine the joy on the child's face when they say that special phrase to a native speaker! They'll feel so proud, and you will too!

with my best wishes,

Mark Pallis

A frequent schools speaker on the importance of language learning, he is on a mission to make language learning fun. ""The phrase, 'They really spoke my language' is so amazing - it perfectly captures the sense of connection that you get when you talk to someone in their own language. And that's what my books are all about: making us feel connection. And having fun of course!"" Mark is the author of several popular books for children and wrote Episodes of the daytime Emmy award winning animated series 'Tales of Peter Rabbit'. He has a real strength for observation, characterisation and a strong use of line. He loves illustrating animals and people and is rarely without his trusty sketchbook to capture the world around him. His commissioned work often involves dogs which he is more than happy about!"

Reviews for Lingo Dingo and the Korean Chef (Korean / English)

"Reviews for Mark Pallis' language learning stories: ""A fabulous bilingual story for anyone to enjoy and read in two languages. Mark Pallis is set to make our world a multilingual place where all languages are cherished. I highly recommend this book!"" - Dr Fabrice Jaumont, author of The Bilingual Revolution ""The mix of humour and language learning in this story works really well. When it first arrived Ivy made me read it three times in a row .... She's picked up lots of the vocabulary and has also started to ask me the French words for other things she can see in the pictures."" - IvysLibrary.com ""What makes this book extra special is how it begins to introduce its readers to a new language, the Welsh language in fact. As a mother who has two children in a Welsh school, and can only read and write a little myself, it is a novel way to bring us together as a family."" - Rhian Gregory, wales247.com"
