In Life as a P.K., readers get a glimpse into the life of a woman raised in the church world under the guidance and rules of rigidly religious parents. Tamatha's story reveals the stark contrast between the image of a picture-perfect, faith-filled family and the often-hidden realities behind that façade. Drawing from personal experience, she explores the misguided perceptions of preacher's kids-and why so many walk away from the faith.

Tamatha shares stories of deception, abuse, judgment, hypocrisy, cruelty, racism, manipulation, adultery, fornication-and being taken advantage of by members of the church. As she conveys her truth, she offers an insider's view of what really happens behind closed doors, far from the watchful eyes of the public.

Yet amid the darkness, Tamatha also shares moments of grace. She writes about the spiritual gifts of visions and dreams she's been given, and how she has learned to use them. Despite the hardships and the choices that shaped her path, she is here to testify to her truth. Throughout Life as a P.K., Tamatha grounds her reflections in scripture, using Biblical passages as the foundation for how she lives and understands her story.

Tamatha Bingham was born in Southern California; growing up, she relocated to multiple locations throughout her life. Now residing in a sweet little town in Idaho with her husband and children, they have worked together to make her dream come true: to have a steady and stable location with a house they not only call home, but where they truly feel at home. Tamatha considers her faith and family to be extremely important. Growing up in the church world and observing what goes on inside and outside of the church (even behind closed doors) has shaped how she teaches and raises her children. Living a lifestyle of ""what you see is what you get,"" she takes pride in remaining true to herself regardless of others' opinions. Far from perfect but a work in progress, Tamatha shares what she knows in hopes that others will gain something from it-including her experiences as a preacher's kid. Offering a glimpse into her life, Tamatha tells her story in Life as a P.K., and is currently working on her next title, Persevering as a P.K., as her story is not finished just yet.
