"Amanda Beth Martin was born in Colorado, grew up in Wisconsin, and spent many summer and winter holidays on cross-country road trips to visit family ""back home"". It was on these family vacations to Colorado that her Grandma Bee would sit her down in the family room to teach her the art of embroidery. After graduating High School, Amanda attended the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, working at the UWM's Children's Learning Center where she attended seminars on child development and graduated with a degree in Psychology. While working at the Children's Center she had the privilege of both teaching and being inspired by the littlest of readers. After graduating, Amanda moved across the world to South Korea where she spent a year teaching English, living in a new culture, and trying to learn a new language. It was in South Korea that she realized how advantageous a bilingual upbringing is for people all across the world. Amanda now resides in Southern California where she enjoys writing and embroidering by the ocean. Visit her at www.thevictorianpanda.com.
