Jill Harland has been a teacher and leader in Leeds schools for the past 20 years. She is currently the headteacher of an inner-city primary school. Since starting her headship, Jill has focused on creating a culture of learning. By focusing professional development on a coaching and reflective cycle, she has created a dedicated team, who are passionate about evaluating their work through its impact on pupils. She has spoken at several conferences and now works part-time in schools to facilitate a consultancy role. Her approach to leadership is centred on developing the expertise and passion of everyone involved, regardless of the setting.
