Students are drawn to technology like the planets are attracted to the sun's gravitational pull. Schools can utilize this attraction to move from traditional teaching and learning practices to ones that use innovation and technology. This can be done through careful and purposeful school improvement planning using problem-solving techniques. Launching into Education's New Future challenges educators and administrators to implement a new way of shared improvement and learning at their schools to enhance student achievement.

Do not miss the comments on technology and innovation that I heard from students, teachers, and administrators during my role as a senior administrator. If students love technology so much, why not use it in combination with excellent planning to enhance teaching and learning environments?

The space program is a model of an effective, technologically innovative organization and their work with rockets serves as the procedural framework for this book. You will be amazed at what the schools shared with me about their success with innovation and technology!
