Lancaster County, Pennsylvania Church Records of the 18th Century, Volume 1
By the time that Lancaster County was formed in 1729 there were many Scotch-Irish living in the southern and northwestern parts of the county. In the 1720s the German Lutherans and Reformed began settling north and northeast of the city of Lancaster. By 1750 significant numbers of Germans were moving into the northwestern part of the county and gradually displacing the Scotch-Irish.

Chapters include Blaser's Reformed, Cocalico Reformed, Manheim Lutheran, Manheim Reformed, Maytown Lutheran, Maytown Reformed, Muddy Creek Lutheran, Muddy Creek Reformed, Pequea Reformed, Reiher's Reformed, Seltenreich Reformed, Little Cocalico (Swamp) Reformed, White Oaks Congregation, Elizabethtown Lutheran, and Bergstrasse Lutheran. A bibliography and a full-name index add to the value of this work.
