Dr. Syed Quaid Ali Shah is a Research Associate Fellow at the School of Business and Management, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He earned PhD in Management (Major: Accounting & Finance) from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia and holds a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance. Prior to academic career, he gained professional experience as an accountant in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. His current area of research interest is in the domain of corporate accounting & finance, with a strong passion for topics related to Risk Management, Banking Regulations (Basel Accords), Knowledge Management, Intellectual Capital, Corporate Governance, Integrated Reporting, ESG and Sustainable Development Goals. Dr. Shah is a prolific author and has published in a broad range of highly cited international research journals including Business Strategy and Development, Journal of Islamic Accounting and Business Research, International Journal of Productivity and Performance Management, Quality and Quantity, Journal of Chinese Economic and Foreign Trade Studies, Environment Development and Sustainability among others. He has won two “Outstanding Researcher Awards 2022-2023” from Department of Management, Petronas Univeristy and “Best Paper Award” in an International Conference of Business and Technology Management, Malaysia.
