The most futuristic production motorcycle of all time appeared in 1978 and it not only ended old specifications for design and comfort. At the same time, Kawasaki also introduced a number of groundbreaking technical innovations. Lower emissions, quieter, better aerodynamics, lower weight, improved electrics. You can also find out how a turbocharger was built into the engine of the first production motorcycle and often destroyed it as a result. And that's not all. Kawasaki also ended the power limitation agreement with the Z1 R TC, just as they planned to do with the Z1300. Ross and Ralph Hannan immediately recognized the high potential. They transformed one of the first Z1 Rs into a winning bike and Graeme Crosby was the rider.
