There is a strange atmosphere in Mirhalay. It was on this lost island in the Hebrides that Galwin Donnell, undisputed master of the thriller, lived his last years before suddenly disappearing - he would have thrown himself from the top of the cliffs. Since then, the island has no other inhabitant than a taciturn guardian or other visitors than the handful of specialists who come every three years to comment on the work of the mythical writer. That summer, Émilie, who began a thesis on Donnell, was responsible for organizing Study Days devoted to the author. She waits for Franck, her companion, to join her. And Franck, for his part, hopes that this trip will give him the opportunity to convince Émilie to spend the rest of her life with him. But on the island cut off from the world, nothing goes as planned. Galwin Donnell, dead as he is, retains his power of seduction.
