Michael Meulemans is a recognized expert on Medicaid, Medicare, the Affordable Care Act, and long-term care coverage and resources. He has over 25 years' experience in Medicaid policy specializing in long-term services and supports and Medicaid managed care services for the aged and people with disabilities. In addition, he has managed the sale of Medicare health plans and was a consultant involved in Affordable Care Act health plan implementation. Past publications include insurance continuing education textbooks written for America's Health Insurance Plans' continuing education program on the following topics: Fundamentals of Health Insurance, Supplemental Health Insurance, and others. He serves on the board of directors of the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Association and a local long-term care services provider, Community Living Alliance. He resides in Madison, WI.
