Maddy Mara is the pen name of Australian creative duo Hilary Rogers and Meredith Badger. Hilary is a writer and former publisher; Meredith is a writer and teaches English as a second language. Together they have written or created many bestselling series for kids. Their recent series include Forever Fairies, Dragon Games, Itty Bitty Kitty and the international hit Dragon Girls. She is the creator and illustrator of over 50 books. Some of the book series she's worked on include Diary of a Pug and Paris Takes Over the World, Monsties, Lotus Lane and Juliet, Nearly a Vet. In addition to books, Kyla has created several animated TV series for children such as Kuu Kuu Harajuku, SheZow and Flea-Bitten. Kyla has also designed toys for Mattel and Moose and other toy companies. Kyla started her creative life as an art director in advertising, then designed a successful greeting card range called Flirt that won Australia's Greeting Card Range of the Year. The characters later sold all around the world, which opened the door to children's books. Kyla lives by the beach in Melbourne, Australia, with her three daughters, two dogs and two cats.
