Emma Charlesworth is a writer, marketing manager, and proud mum. After losing her husband, Stuart ""Charlie"" Charlesworth, to COVID-19 in 2020, Emma began sharing her journey through grief, resilience, and rediscovery on her blog - a space that has since become a source of comfort and connection for many. In 2021, she became an Ambassador for WAY (Widowed and Young), giving a voice to those bereaved during the pandemic, and later represented the charity on the UK Commission on Bereavement's Lived Experience Advisory Forum for its report Bereavement is Everyone's Business. Now a Trustee and volunteer host for WAY's New Member Zooms, Emma continues to champion the importance of community and understanding after loss.
""In her blog Life is a rollercoaster, Emma has been writing with honesty, courage and humour about love, grief and finding a way forward after her husband's death during the pandemic. Through her powerful storytelling, she gives voice to the bereaved and shines a light on the often unseen challenges of being widowed young while raising a daughter. Recognised by the WAY community with the charity's annual blog award in 2023, Emma's writing captures both the raw rollercoaster of grief and the quiet strength it takes to get life back on track after such a devastating loss.""
