Investigating the Impossible: biology offers new answers and Insights, co-written by author/investigator Steve Aspin and professional cellular biologist and geneticist Andreas Luck, PhD.

The authors deploy the disciplines of cellular biology and genetics for a deep-dive investigation into mysterious cases where scientific data and recovered forensic artifacts exist for laboratory examination and analysis.

Four separate, but related, subject areas are examined:

1 - The authenticity and provenance of the tridactyl Nazca mummies recovered in Peru in 2015, and the extensive testing carried out by C14 dating, CT and MRI scans, DNA & PCR sequencing and tissue sampling, detailing these scientific processes for the reader;

2 - The 'alien' hairs recovered from the Peter Khoury encounter in Sydney, Australia in July 1992, subsequently analyzed forensically by APEG and published by Bill Chalker in his 2005 book 'Hair of the Alien';

3 - The possibility of whether hybridization between species originating from different biospheres as reported in thousands of alien abduction reports over 70 years might even be biologically possible; and -

4 - How to recognize and identify disinformation and misinformation about these subject areas in the unregulated morass of the online world.

The book runs to 75,000 words in length and includes 80x images: photographs, diagrams, charts and illustrations of biological and genetic processes to assist the reader in better understanding the scientific content.

The work is available in three formats:

- Cloth-bound hardcover with full colour illustrations, ISBN = 978-1-83615-549-2

- Paperback with greyscale images, ISBN = 978-1-83615-548-5

- eBook, ISBN = 978-1-83615-550-8

Three Appendices, a brief Bibliography and detailed reference section of explanatory notes supplement the text.

The authors have succeeded in making these often difficult scientific concepts, biological processes and descriptions of testing protocols into an engaging story. Furthermore, in attempting to explain these 'impossible' but provably real phenomena, some of their conclusions lead the reader beyond mainstream scientific consensus to explore realms entertained only by contemporary physics, mathematics and cosmology.

Dr. Andreas Luck was born in Minden, a medium-sized city in northern Germany. He has a PhD and a MSc degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics and cell biology. After earning his PhD, he spent three years as a postdoctoral research fellow at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, part of Harvard University Medical School. There, he conducted state-of-the-art research in the areas of advanced genetics, immunohistochemistry and generating antibodies. After his postdoc time at Harvard, Dr. Luck worked as professor of medical biochemistry, genetics and cell biology at international medical schools. In addition to his professorial duties, he was also Associate Dean of Admissions and Associate Dean of Academic Matters. Dr. Luck has been interested in the UFO/UAP phenomenon since his teenage years when he had a CE1-type UAP encounter in Minden, his hometown. Today Dr. Luck lives in Wolgast, a small town on the coast of the Baltic Sea. He is a member of the German UFO/UAP scientific research group IGAAP and contributes actively to the research in this field. Steve Aspin has a professional background in marketing, sales and business management and worked for 35 years in the fields of surgery and medical diagnostics. In 1999, he founded and managed a successful international business designing, patenting and marketing innovative surgical equipment to the global marketplace. Retired from business life in 2018, Steve became a published author in 2022 with Out of Time: the intergenerational abduction program explored. He has travelled extensively to lecture on the UAP/alien abduction issue and been a featured guest on more than 40 radio shows, podcasts and panel discussions. In March 2024 he was invited by Southampton University Psychology Department to debate against renowned sceptic Dr. Christopher French in open forum before a lecture theatre full of students and faculty members; Steve won the debate on the empirical reality of the phenomenon as decided by a popular vote from the audience. Steve lives with his wife in a quiet corner of eastern England and may be found most early mornings walking his Rough Collie across the Lincolnshire Wolds.
