Introducing Genre and English for Specific Purposes

Hyon's book captures the breadth and depth of genre theory in ESP, drawing on the most recent publications in the field. Due to the inclusion of examples of teaching activities, the book would be useful for university students and preservice teachers who are studying genre, ESP and language teaching methodologies. I would also recommend this book to those who are familiar with genre studies in ESP because it charts the development of this theory over the last 50 years.
