The twenty-first century is marked by an unprecedented convergence of technological advancements, economic complexities, and geopolitical shifts that are reshaping the global industrial landscape. Industrial policy, which was once primarily concerned with protecting domestic industries and guiding economic development, has evolved into a multifaceted tool for addressing a wide range of challenges and opportunities. Today s industrial policies are increasingly intertwined with innovation, reflecting the need to promote technological advancements, increase economic competitiveness, and ensure long-term development. Industrial Policy, Innovation, and Complexity: Comparative Analysis, Trends, and Prospects provides a thorough examination of the evolving nature of industrial policy in contemporary economies. It provides valuable insights into the successes, challenges, and future directions of industrial policy by investigating how different countries and regions are developing and implementing strategies to navigate the complexities of globalization, digital transformation, and the green transition. Covering topics such as cohesion policy, economic resilience, and sustainable growth, this book is an excellent resource for academicians, researchers, economists, policy makers, political scientists, government officials, industry leaders, practitioners, students, educators, and more.
