"Our imagination is a key to unlocking the doors of possibility. Where would we be without its wondrous touch?

When these animals find ways to turn everyday objects into playthings in this rhythmically rhyming book, their imagination is limitless!

This is the third book in the ""In All of Your Days"" series and includes a fun, interactive element. Find more information at ReadingRhythmsAndRhymes.com.

In a similar vein to ""King Jack and the Dragon"" by Peter Bently, with its lilting rhymes and children who take ordinary objects and use their imagination to create some fantasy, ""In All of Your Days Have You Seen the Ways an Animal Plays Pretend?"" helps children realize that they don't need a cell phone or video games to keep themselves entertained. A colander and spoon can take them to the moon!

Helps children develop their imagination through pretend play Open children's eyes to the possibilities of play with items lying around their house Rhyming words help with pre-reading skills through prediction Helps parents to remember what it was like to play with everyday objects Exposes children to animals that they may not have heard of Expands vocabulary"

"Lisa has always loved children so it was no surprise that she became a teacher. Her background in music and theater allowed her to find a ""perfect"" job. Through that job one day, a tiny seed of an idea was born. During a funny interaction with a student and a subsequent drawing, Lisa had the idea of writing a book. In March 2020, while visiting her cousin in Boston, she stumbled upon another book idea quite by accident. She was commenting to her cousin, who had just introduced her to a friend of hers who had illustrated a book, and Lisa was making a joke that she should hire the friend and was scrolling through her photos and found a picture of a cow. The cow picture, taken on Lisa's Grandmother's farm, looked like it had cut its bangs- and very poorly at that. Well, upon typing ""cows with bangs"" into the phone, ""Bang's Disease"" came up."" It's a disease that has been eradicated, but her 100-year-old Grandmother remembers vaccinating her cows for it. That spurred a book idea and on the plane ride home from Boston to California, her fourth book was written. Lisa has found, through everyday experiences and quite an imagination, ideas for many more books. She's written 8 so far, with ideas for at least 4 more. Through her travels, she has found inspiration as well. Lisa also taught culinary arts at the Jr. High level and has been inspired to write an international cookbook for families to cook together, after enjoying all the international food she's been trying.
