The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping the logistics sector, transforming how goods are moved, stored, and managed across global supply chains. From autonomous vehicles and predictive analytics to smart warehousing and intelligent routing systems, AI technologies are revolutionizing operational efficiency and decision-making. Yet, alongside these technological benefits, a profound transformation is unfolding in the human dimension of logistics - in employment, the configuration of skills, and the structure of work. Impacts of AI on Employment and Skills in Logistics critically explores how AI is influencing employment structures, skill requirements, and workforce dynamics in logistics. This book investigates the coexistence of automation and human labor, the redefinition of professional competences, and the emergence of new skill ecosystems. Covering topics such as digital capability, operational skills, and worker autonomy, this book is an excellent academic resource for graduate and doctoral students, researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals in supply chain management, operations, logistics, information systems, and more.
