Environmental degradation poses a threat to ecosystems around the globe, disrupting the balance sustaining biodiversity, climate stability, and natural resource availability. From deforestation and pollution to climate change and habitat destruction, human activities erode the ecosystem health, leading to the extinction of species, soil infertility, water scarcity, and air quality decline. These changes endanger plant and animal life while undermining the services ecosystems provide to humanity. Addressing this crisis requires a multifaceted approach involving policy reforms, conservation efforts, sustainable practices, and community engagement. Further research may help prevent further damage and restore ecological balance. Impact of Environmental Degradation on Ecosystems and Preventive Measures explores environmental degradation's impact on ecosystems, focusing on restoring plants and animals, conserving biodiversity, and promoting sustainable development. It examines the relationship between pollution, climate change, and the depletion of natural resources, emphasizing how these factors disrupt ecological balance and the health of species. This book covers topics such as invasive plant species, plant biology, and waste management, and is a useful resource for engineers, biologists, academicians, researchers, and environmental scientists.
