Serhat Erdem, who was born in Kırıkkale in 1982, completed his high school education at Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs High School. In 2004, he was awarded a bachelor's degree from Atatürk University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema. In 2005, he took his first step into academic life as a Research Assistant at Atatürk University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Cinema and Television. Erdem, who completed his master's degree in 2009 at Atatürk University Social Sciences Institute, Department of Journalism, with the thesis ""A Study on the Transformations Revealed by the Application of Matte Paint in Cinema"", started his doctoral studies at Istanbul University Social Sciences Institute, Radio, Television and Cinema Department in 2010. In 2015, he completed his PhD thesis titled ""Use of Visual Effects in the Reconstruction of Reality: Space Construction in the Spartacus Television Series"" and was entitled to receive the title of Doctor. Lecturer Working as a member, Erdem received the title of Associate Professor in the field of Visual Communication Design in 2022. Since February 2022, he has been continuing his academic studies at Atatürk University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema.
