Clyde Wainio has spent more than sixty years fishing the rivers and streams of Michigan's Copper Country. From childhood days on the Pilgrim River with a handmade pole to decades of adventures across the Keweenaw, he has built a lifetime of stories about trout, steelhead, and the people who shared the water with him. His passion for fishing is matched only by his love for family traditions and the beauty of the Northwoods. If It Snows, Go Fishing! is his first book, a tribute to the streams that shaped his life and the lessons they continue to teach. Joanna Walitalo, of Pelkie, Michigan, is an artist, illustrator, and educator whose work blends scientific accuracy with natural beauty. She earned a B.S. in Biology and Environmental Studies from Central Michigan University and later a Master's degree in Forest Science at Michigan Technological University, where she also pursued doctoral studies. Raised in Oil City, she was inspired by her mother, an art teacher, and later mentors in science and art. Joanna is best known for her distinctive wood-burning artwork, created on reclaimed wood, which celebrates wildlife and wild places. She lives in Michigan's Upper Peninsula with her husband and son.
