Scott Withers is a national television meteorologist, environmental geoscientist, and award-winning author based in Miami, Florida. Over a decade-long career in field journalism, he has covered every major U.S. hurricane landfall since 2014, reporting from the eyewall of Harvey, Irma, Maria, Florence, Michael, Ian, Idalia, and Helene. His coverage has informed millions of viewers and helped save lives along the path of every major Atlantic storm of the past decade. Scott is also the author of the multi-award-winning children's series Cane the Weather Dog, which teaches K-4 students about severe weather safety and is used in classrooms across the country. He owns and operates SWL Publishing, the imprint of Severe Wx Live LLC. He lives in Miami with his husband Alejandro.
