What I share in this book may benefit family members of those caught up in addictions or concerned others, and of course, those caught up in addictions as well. This is just some of my story as well as some of my experiences, observations, conclusions, and opinions.

Out of consideration and respect for the circumstances and lives of those I have encountered in my life and throughout my addictions and recovery and professional life, concerning this book, I choose to remain somewhat anonymous, as is often the case with people in recovery.
