The 38th Parallel Line. Following World War II, it was set as the dividing line between North and South Korea. As the Korean conflict escalated, it became the frontline for a new war. For John Mullenax, already a decorated veteran of World War II, the conflict brought him back to the warzone just as he was returning to his home life in the United States, and forming a relationship with his future wife, Edith Zinkhan.

Within are John and Edith's correspondence while John was on active duty in Korea, as well as John's letters to family awaiting word from home.
