This book offers an intimate look at the daily struggle against patriarchy, told through the lives of fathers, mothers and daughters and sons. On one side are the progressive men and boys daring to envision a new future by granting their women and girls the same freedoms as their men and sons. On the other are the traditionalists, whose rigid beliefs fuel a continuing campaign to subjugate women. These powerful narratives are epic, exposing the personal struggles around patriarchy and how it affects the South Sudanese Society.
