Reviews for How To Draw Multiculticural Supercharacters

How To Draw Multicultural Supercharacters, demonstrates techniques for successfully drawing multicultural characters. Add interest and diversity to your drawings with African American, Asian American and Native American figures. --Arts & Activities How to Draw Multicultural Supercharacters Earl R. Phelps Phelps Publishing, 2000 - Juvenile Nonfiction - 96 pages Finally a title those up-&-coming young artists can look to for guidance & ideas in creating their own characters. How To Draw Multicultural Supercharacters does more than demonstrate the structure of ethic people, super heroes, exotic animals & cultural poses - it inspires. Focusing on the large ethic diversity of the United States it presents lessons on drawing African American, Native American & Asian American super heroes & characters. This book breaks from the ethic stereotypes & in the doing creates a new path for young minds to follow. This book has very words because it dares to show you the techniques of drawing & not just telling you how to draw, it contains actual useful content one normally sees in a book twice its size. Young & mature artists can certainly glean some very useful information, ideas, excellent practice exercises & yes again, inspiration. Perhaps one of the most useful points for artists is the free flow style that Earl R. Phelps uses demonstrating perfectly how one should consider their art. As a free flowing extension of themselves, not a stiff, forced effort. This book is an excellent investment both in time & money. Free drawing lessons at: www.phelpspublishing.com. ---Google Books
